Jibulu Foundation Rewards Young Children In Just Concluded Essay/Public Speaking Competition

Popular charity organization in Ogun State, Jibulu Foundation held her maiden edition of the Annual Essay/Public speaking competition ceremony on 9th October 2021.

The event was held at Jibulu’s House, Elega, Abeokuta had 17 children within the age of 11 to 16 display their Public Speaking skills in a bid to win Cash Prizes and other gifts items.

The 17 participants qualified for the public speaking event after submitting a well-written Essay on “Drug Abuse Among Nigerian Youths: Effect And Solutions”

Meanwhile, parents and guardians of the participants, members of the public and other distinguished guests were present at the occasion.

However, after two rounds of heated Public Speaking exercises on the topic, the Judges announced Alaka Olayemi, Aaron Hephzibah and Akintunde Mumeenat emerged as the top 3 winners at the event.

While Aishat Fayemi emerged in the 5th position, Hassan Muftau won 4th and both went home with cash prizes of N10,000 each and other gifts. Akintunde Mumeenat emerged as the 2nd runner-up and went home with a Cash Prize of N30,000 and other gifts, Aaron Hephzibah emerged as the 1st runner-up with N50,000 cash prize and other gifts.

Alaka Olayemi was announced the winner of 2021 edition of Jibulu Foundation Annual Essay/Public Speaking competition with a grand prize of N100,000 and other gift items.

Also, other participants were also rewarded with Jibulu Foundation kits and writing materials.

The Founder, Mujeeb Jibulu in his opening remark said, the idea of the competition stem from the need to give every child equal opportunity to showcase their writing and public speaking skills.

Speaking on the topic of the debate, Mujeeb Jibulu emphasizes the need to make young children be aware of the dangers associated with drug abuse at an early age so they make decisions to refrain from it when they become a full-grown adults.

Meanwhile, he also thank parents and associates for making the event possible while also assuring everyone that the foundation will stay committed to caring for the young children by supporting their education and skill acquisition so as to secure a better tomorrow for the nation at large.
